This position has full responsibility for the operation and services of the Control Desk at Campus Planning and Operations (CPO). This position will include after hours, weekends and holidays. The duties and responsibilities include receiving requests for emergency services, including custodial or maintenance services, and directing and coordinating the various management, trades and custodial activities, utilizing radios, emails, etc.
Must be able to learn specialized computer systems to create work orders and properly document unusual incidents. Ability to evaluate situations and analyze for appropriate notification to management staff of serious situations involving campus facilities, CPO or its employees. Monitors a variety of computerized alarm systems for HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems, assesses the alarms that come in, and directs the appropriate response. Maintains a point of contact for all FM&P activities. Must have strong communication skills and be able to multi-task and remain calm and organized under sometimes stressful situations.
Bachelor's degree preferred and 3-5 years' work experience including customer service and computer skills.
Proven reliability, initiative, timely response, and professional communication skills.
