The Impact You'll Make in this Role
Responsible to the Maintenance Supervisor, and/or Maintenance Mechanic Leader. Responsible for the effective scheduling and supervision of all maintenance personnel during the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor, and/or Maintenance Mechanic Leader. Responsible for the maintenance of all shop equipment and building modification, installation, removal, or emergency repair of equipment and buildings.

This job requires climbing stairs, ladders, and scaffolding. It also requires climbing over and under and into tight or confined areas for various types of maintenance functions. It requires working overhead from ladders, scaffolding, etc., while welding, pipe fitting, and doing carpentry. The job requires lifting and occasionally working in awkward and unpleasant conditions.

This job requires the ability to read and use accurately all types of measuring devices used in the maintenance operation. This job requires that appropriate safety equipment to be worn as necessary. It includes such items as safety shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses/goggles, respirators, hard hats, welder's face shield/goggles, harnesses, and clothing, etc. Other safety equipment may be issued and required for specific jobs.

Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent (completed and verified prior to start)
• 3 - 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
• This is a day shift position

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• 5+ years of maintenance mechanic experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in disciplines such as plumbing, electrical, mechanical, welding and hydraulics
• This position will require working overtime and call-in availability
