Facilities Maintenance Technician - Distribution Center

McKesson is seeking a dynamic and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our growing team. This is a fantastic chance to work for a company that has the rare mix of being a fun, yet high-paced and professional work environment. We are currently adding the following shift to our team:

Full Time Nights

Sunday through Thursday 11:00pm - 7:30am

Flexibility is needed as the maintenance team is critical to daily operations and will work overtime when necessary (to include holidays & short notice call in)

Key Responsibilities:

• Preventative Maintenance, trouble shooting, and repair a wide variety of challenging electro-mechanical systems in a distribution center environment. Primarily automated MDR conveyors systems.
• Provide electrical, mechanical, & automation support for all facility systems & equipment including but not limited to conveyors, freezers, coolers, HVAC (Carrier), air compressors (Kaiser), generators (Caterpillar), printers, strappers (Signode), dock lifts, lift trucks (Crown), battery inter-changer (BHS), compactors, fire protection, electrical breakers and other automated technologies.
• Demonstrate skills in all phases of facility maintenance including electrical troubleshooting.
• Self-starter in new equipment learning, training & ability to lead preventative maintenance efforts.
• Communicate with and maintain effective relationships with service contractors & vendors.
• Perform precision maintenance on automated robotic equipment - includes preventive maintenance, general upkeep and daily cleanings. General maintenance/PM's of production equipment - may include troubleshooting (Labelers, Conveyors, Diverters, Motors, Air Compressors, Pneumatic Devices, Compactors, Power Equipment, Printers)
• Perform general building maintenance (air conditioning/heating, plumbing, electrical, lighting, interior upkeep), trash removal
• Order supplies for spare parts inventory and production
• Cleaning and removal of dust and debris of production system - daily vacuuming
• Assign and follow-up on workorders
• Completes safety inspections and makes corrections where necessary
• Works with outside contractors when needed on facilities and equipment repairs
• Proactively engages production workforce for feedback on maintenance related items
• Performs other projects and duties as assigned

Physical Requirements Includes standing, sitting, walking, general & roof ladder, scissor lift, & fork truck use, to (4) story heights in a warehouse environment.

Must be able to carry and operate a laptop & handheld device. Must be willing to work various hours in a 24/7 operational warehouse

Minimum qualifications:

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent
• 3 plus years' experience in preventive maintenance & troubleshooting on conveyors
• Experience troubleshooting PLC conveyor controls with relay logic microprocessor controls.
• Proven ability to read & understand electrical, mechanical & automation schematics is required.
• Understanding of systems including transformers, generators, switchgear, AC/DC drives, UPS & LED lighting.
• Experience with and ability to train others on LOTO and OSHA regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate degree, trade school certification, or verifiable training in a relevant technical field.
• Knowledge of the NEC and light electrical construction experience
• Windows XP/Windows 7 and CMMS work order experience
