We are seeking an energetic, professional technician to join our team and bring enthusiasm, skills and value to a multifamily portfolio of amenity rich, boutique communities. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the overall maintenance of the property and should have the experience and skills required to fulfill all aspects of apartment community maintenance.
Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborates with the management teams on a daily basis to schedule and prioritize property needs
Ensures all building systems are operating correctly and are in compliance
Manages and completes all make-ready unit turns, renewal inspections and work orders
Purchases and manages supplies and equipment in coordination with the management team
Maintains inventory control of all maintenance tools, equipment, and supplies
Assists in vendor management and oversees maintenance of all common areas
Manages and completes all preventative maintenance accurately and according to schedule
Ensures the property appearance is up to standard at all times
Assists management team with special projects
Coaches and supervises the day porter
Performs other assignments as requested
Participates on call for after-hours emergencies every 3rd weeks, for the whole portfolio
Five years’ experience in multifamily maintenance, building systems and related operational processes and procedures
HVAC certifications preferred
Extensive Plumbing Knowledge
Basic computer skills
Basic knowledge of OSHA regulations and Fair Housing compliance
Possess good written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to physically perform necessary activities and functions
Must possess a valid California Driver's License, auto insurance and reliable transportation
