Keene State College's Facilities Services Department invites applications for a Plumber/Boiler Attendant to provide operation of the central heat and power plant, while ensuring the safe operation of our boilers, steam turbine and related equipment to the campus heat plant. This position will also support the plumbing department as a staff plumber when necessary. This is a 40 hour/week position with a starting salary range of $20.15-$25.49 per hour, complemented by a competitive benefits package.
â¢ Technical or vocational school graduation or equivalent apprenticeship. â¢ Four years of experience as a journeyman, plumber, pipefitter, or mechanic. â¢ New Hampshire State Plumberâs journeyman license (or currently enrolled in an apprenticeship program for two years). â¢ A valid driverâs license and safe driving record. â¢ Proven customer service skills. â¢ Knowledge of applicable plumbing codes and ordinances, knowledge of methods, tools, and hazards of the trade. â¢ Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, students and the general public. â¢ Ability to work effectively both as a team member and independently on projects with limited supervision. â¢ The position involves heavy lifting, working in a variety of workplace conditions, and the ability to wear and use appropriate personal protective equipment as necessary. â¢ Post offer, pre-employment physical exam also required.
