We are seeking a Industry and Trades Coordinator is responsible for on-site management of the College's skilled trades laboratories. He/she will teach in the programs (welding, plumbing, HVAC and/or automotive technology and provide instructional and technical support to the faculty and students who utilize the trades laboratories.
This is a full-time, grant-funded, administrative position.
Examples of Duties
Teaches courses in the trades curricula;
Works with industry partners to validate curriculum content
Organizes and meets with a Trades Advisory Council on an annual basis
Ensures that all equipment within the trades laboratories is maintained in working order by completing scheduled preventive maintenance
Engages with industry partners and state and national associations to development work-based experiences for students
Collaborates with Continuing Education Department to facilitate workforce development training
Assesses the effectiveness of the programs and suggests areas of improvement
Working knowledge of industry recognized credentials in the State of New Jersey
Coordinate with Dual Enrollment staff to oversee trades programs in the local high schools
Performs other duties as assigned
Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline preferred
Prior related experience or combination of education and experience performing the duties of this job may substitute for the degree requirement
Five years of experience in a trade related area
Effective communication in oral and written forms
The completion of a background check will be required for the selected candidate.
