Columbus Regional Airport Authority has a unique opportunity for a business-minded attorney who wants to “Land Your Next Career”! You would be an integral member of our Legal and Administration team and advise on legal matters in support of our operations, including real estate, environment, public procurement, construction, intellectual property and regulatory matters.
The Columbus Regional Airport Authority manages and operates passenger-focused John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH), cargo-focused Rickenbacker International Airport (LCK), and general aviation airport Bolton Field (TZR).

Your “Take Off” will be successful by doing the following with excellence:
Prepare and review contracts and other legal documents and provide direction and assistance to staff relating to the drafting, approval, negotiation, and administration of contracts.
Resolve disputes, including instituting legal actions and managing litigation and other dispute resolution processes.
Provide legal guidance regarding and ensure compliance with ethics laws and open meeting and public record laws, including responding to public records requests.
Provide legal research, analysis, and counsel on issues facing the Authority.
Review, analyze, and draft legislation for introduction at state level and review, analyze, and comment on regulations proposed at the federal level.
Support the Authority’s compliance programs and provide advice and counsel as needed.
Engage with and manage outside legal services as needed.
Perform related work as required.
Your “Landing” will be smooth if you meet the following requirements:
Graduate Degree Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and five (5) to seven (7) years experience practicing law. Experience with public sector law, commercial real estate, public sector construction and/or procurement law is preferred
Licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio
Knowledge of Ohio Revised Code, statutory law of Ohio relating to 4582 port authorities, local government issues, government procurement, ethics, and construction law
Highly organized, solution driven and customer-service oriented
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders
