Trinity Episcopal School is an independent Pre-K through 8th grade school located in West Lake Hills, Texas seeking to hire a Director of Facilities.
Trinity Episcopal School is an inclusive, forward-thinking, faith-based, PK-8 independent school that meets each student where they are to nurture the whole child’s academic, social, physical, emotional, and spiritual growth. Trinity is located in West Lake Hills, close to downtown Austin, Texas.
Trinity’s single campus consists of nine existing permanent buildings, one existing open-air pavilion, and one planned community building currently under construction on approximately 23 acres within the city limits of West Lake Hills, Texas.
The Director of Facilities is responsible for ongoing maintenance and operation of all buildings, grounds, and systems within this campus with the exception of the computer, telephone, and intercom networks. Secondary responsibilities include purchasing and event setup coordination.
The Director of Facilities reports to the Chief Financial Officer.
Manage the facilities department to include, but not limited to, the following:
Perform regular inspection and maintenance of all systems within all buildings and grounds
Create and execute annual facilities budget for all systems maintained within Trinity facilities
Coordinate with contractors and vendors responsible for daily maintenance of the following systems:
Life safety systems (Burglar alarms, Fire alarms, Building sprinkler systems…)
Building elevators and lifts
Commercial kitchen equipment
Landscape, tree, and sports field maintenance
Two existing water wells and irrigation systems for the entire campus
Janitorial services within all buildings
All door, standard lock, and electronic lock maintenance
Manage and distribute all associated keys and electronic Fobs
Perform or manage event setup and takedown
Purchase materials and supplies required for daily operation of the school
Maintain purchase order system
Manage receiving and distribution of supplies
Maintain ongoing maintenance calendar
Assist in space planning for entire campus
Provide drawings and assist in design of interior construction of classrooms and offices within the buildings; manage light construction projects as needed for ongoing curriculum support
Interact with the City of West Lake Hills to obtain or maintain permits for small construction projects, periodic events, or any other ongoing systems which require permits
Create and maintain drawings / documentation of all buildings and systems within the campus
Serve as the main point of contact for major construction projects; liaise with general contractor, project manager, subcontractors, architects, engineers as needed. Review and provide input on construction design; manage and archive construction documents
Manage a small staff of associates in performing all facilities related projects, tasks throughout the year.
Perform ongoing management of Trinity’s proprietary equipment tracking system
Must have proven experience in full facilities management.
