Our firm is seeking a Senior Plumbing Designer/Engineer with 10+ years of professional experience. AutoCAD and Revit experience is a must. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years in the MEP Consulting Industry as well as:

• Work from architectural plans and base files to produce engineering construction documents in AutoCAD or Revit MEP
• Understand and use established company standards for drafting, including layer names, line and character styles, drawings and window names, and file names for sheet layout
• Be proficient in preparing plan drawings in AutoCAD or Revit, as appropriate
• Examine sketches, field notes and other input material to determine and plan the best approach to develop and complete drawings with minimal supervision
• Inform Project Manager(s) of progress on assigned projects and communicate design concerns with Project Manager(s)

The successful candidate will possess:

• Associates Degree or Diploma in Computer-Aided Drafting and Design
• At least 10 years of design experience in the MEP industry using AutoCAD or Revit
• Proficient in AutoCAD or Revit, as appropriate
• Professional Engineer license in Texas is preferred, but not a requirement
• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking capabilities across multiple projects coupled with excellent communication and client relationship building skills
• Ability to compile construction drawing sets
• Ability to manage multiple projects at once
• Basic knowledge of applicable plumbing codes, including NFPA (special focus on NEC), IESNA, IECC, ASHRAE, and ASPE
• Demonstrate maturity in judgement, initiative, and client relations
• Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate effectively
• Experience in large commercial project assignments is a plus
• Experience in electrical, mechanical, and fire protection design is a plus
