Gateway Community and Technical College invites applications for the position of HVAC Instructor. The instructor will provide instruction in the field of air conditioning technology to prepare students for various entry-level HVAC positions in the industry and the building trades.

Teach HVAC classes and labs including demonstrations of diagnosis and repair of improperly working equipment
Work collaboratively with students, fellow faculty, and staff to ensure the educational needs of the individual learner are met.
Maintenance and care of classrooms, labs & training materials.
Keep abreast of changes in the HVAC field and help keep the program/instruction updated.
Provide instruction to students in both theory and practice
Provide students with the background, knowledge and basic skills needed to function effectively on the job.
Provide academic advising to students
Other duties as assigned
Education, Certifications, and Licenses:
High school/GED or equivalent, Associates preferred
Journeyman HVAC License
2 years of industry experience
Experience in and understanding of the importance of working with students from diverse populations preferred

Experience working at the community college level.
