The Facility Renewal Coordinator is part of the Facilities, Plant Operations, Building Maintenance Department at Vanderbilt University and is a key individual contributor responsible for coordinating the University's Facility Renewal Process and will be the primary Asset Coordinator for Facilities Plant Operations. This position will work with key stakeholders to facilitate facility renewal and maintain asset information.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as Primary Asset Coordinator for Facilities Plant Operations
- Utilize the work management system (AiM) to maintain lists of all assets, such as roofs, HVAC units, underground utilities, etc.
- Survey construction drawings to maintain pertinent information about assets
- Establish a timeline and process for validating assets on a periodic basis
- Coordinate with Facilities Campus Planning & Construction to obtain asset additions, deletions and updates
- Coordinate with managers/maintenance staff when assets are replaced
- Determine the method to have an asset associated with every phase of a work order within AiM
- Facilitate the integration of routine inspections into Facilities' operations
- Coordinate with other Facilities' teams to incorporate University needs into the asset module
- Coordinate the Facility Renewal Process
- Utilize Asset Management system to maintain list of all facility renewal projects for each building on campus
- Including gathering cost information, planned replacements and coordinate with Stakeholders to determine necessary project scope
- Coordinate with Stakeholders to determine need and timeline for facility renewal projects
- Establish proper timeline for the coordination of facility renewal project discussions to meet deadlines
- Meet with stakeholders to determine facility renewal list and prioritize based on budget and institutional need
- Filter and distribute facility renewal list as needed
- Develop strategies to verify facility renewal needs, including building audits, Stakeholder requests, unplanned replacements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is necessary .
- Bachelor's is preferred .
- Valid Tennessee driver's license is necessary .
- Project management experience is preferred .
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, and Word) is necessary.
- Time management and organizational skills is necessary.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills is necessary .
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents is necessary .
- Understanding of the construction process is strongly preferred .
- Basic understanding of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing systems and their respective components is strongly preferred .
- Construction estimating knowledge is strongly preferred .
