Summary of Duties:
This Maintenance Mechanic position is responsible for the operations of the facility for WSU Everett. The position requires the management of the Building Operations Systems (BAS), which includes monitoring and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, lighting, building control systems and fire/life-safety/security systems. This position performs work in the maintenance, repair, remodeling, alterations and construction of buildings, facilities, and equipment, and performs general maintenance on building interiors, exteriors and grounds. This position also requires advanced working knowledge of skilled mechanical and trades work such as electrical, plumbing, Mitsubishi HVAC system, mechanical systems and carpentry and the knowledge to bring in appropriate trades people to perform repairs on building systems.
High school graduation and four (4) years of general work experience in building and equipment maintenance, construction or repair work or completion of a recognized apprenticeship in a skilled mechanic trade; OR equivalent education/experience.
Possession of, or ability to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver's license.
Demonstrated ability to perform tasks with a high degree of accuracy, and thoroughness.
Experience in Plumbing, Electrical, Refrigeration, Carpentry, Painting, or HVAC/Control repair fields of work and ground/landscaping.
