Job Summary:

Project Manager, CPD for Chicago, IL location. Manage project planning process for hospital, research or educational settings, including facilitating and performing value engineering, soliciting or preparing construction cost estimates, and coordinating selection of vendors and contractors. Assists in developing the master project schedule, defining the roles and responsibilities for the whole project team. Guides the design and construction of spaces and buildings, including projects with specialized processes (e.g. Research Lab, Procedure rooms) for MEP and HVAC. Establishes and reviews project documentation, prepares monthly progress reports, and negotiates additional services and contractors change order requests. Coordinate all aspects of projects from inception through completion and transfer to Operations and Management. Assure budget, schedule, scope, standards, and qualities are within requirements. Conduct fact finding to assure sound decisions are made relative to first cost versus life cycle costs. Negotiate contracts and evaluate estimates, bids and cost proposals. Oversee timely completion of project including close-out procedures, archiving, customer move-in. Coordinate multiple interest groups and stakeholders.

Education:  

Bachelorâ™s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field plus 5 years of progressive experience in the job offered or in building design/construction required. Required Skills: 3 years with each: planning, design, construction; project management for hospital, research or educational setting; coordinating multiple interest groups and stakeholders; negotiating contracts and evaluating estimates, bids and cost proposals. Exp must include: projects with specialized processes (Research Lab/Procedure rooms) for MEP and HVAC. Background check with review of conviction history required.
