The Administrative Associate provides support for staff, student workers, and students in the Decosimo Student Success Center in the College of Business. The position is often the first point of contact for visitors, students, and community professionals. In addition, the Administrative Associate oversees the daily operations of the office and provides clerical support for various success center processes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversees the daily operations of the Decosimo Student Success Center including but not limited to, the following: provides support to students and Decosimo Student Success Center Staff; manages front desk operations and traffic flow; record management per university policy; takes minutes for departmental meetings; maintains office supply inventory; and supervises student workers.
Reconciles departmental ledgers, procurement card statements and payroll reports; monitor budgets; processes invoices and travel reimbursements; initiates documents for various items such as payroll and petty cash reimbursements; updates monthly spreadsheets of accounts; processes new hires including all student workers; initiates new hire paperwork for student workers and ensure required documentation is obtained; coordinates onboarding and training of new employees and student workers; arranges travel for staff, students, and visitors; coordinates special events and projects for the Decosimo Student Success Center; and coordinates meetings and conference room reservations for the Decosimo Student Success Center.
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong customer service capabilities
- Strong computer software/technology skills - Microsoft Office; capable of learning new software packages
- Basic financial and budgetary skills
- Basic supervisory skills
- Strong attention to detail

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED and three years of experience in an office environment or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications: Five years of experience in an office experience or equivalent and ability to multi-task.
