Maintain building facilities and equipment
Monitor and maintain Cleanroom air quality to Class 100 spec
Monitor and control Cleanroom temperature and humidity.
Design and Install gas, water and vacuum lines for equipment.
Design & create AutoCAD layouts, prints, and 3D models.
Move in, install, relocate, and facilitate large equipment.
Serve as safety liaison and point of contact for safety issues

Bachelor of Science degree in electrical/mechanical engineering, electronics technology (or related field) or minimum of ten years of experience in facility maintenance.
Excellent technical and engineering skills and ability to communicate on a professional level with electricians, plumbers, HVAC, and other facilities groups, including outside contractors.
Ability to read and comprehend electrical schematics, floorplans, and industrial blueprints.
Skilled in use of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD or equivalent software.
Good personal interaction and basic adminisrative or management skills.
Basic understanding of inventory control.
Thorough prior knowledge and experience in dealing with issues related to cleanroom operations, maintenance, equipment, and industrial safety.
Understanding of cleanroom air filtration systems and ability to correct issues in same.
Prior training in Lockout/Tagout, basic first aid, High Voltage safety, and industrial safety courses. Basic experience in the legal aspects of dealing with contractors and vendors.
Thorough understanding of Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) documents.
Microsoft Visual Basic programming skills
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 1. Maintain building facilities and equipment including basic repairs or upkeep
Perform Preventive Maintenance on house vacuum pumps
Ability to diagnose exhaust problems and report to Facilities
Basic understanding of air handlers and potential issues of same
2. Coordinate with external contractors for larger jobs or tasks, including exhaust ducting, equipment relocations, renovations 3. Cleanroom duties and skills
Monitor and maintain air quality to Class 100 spec
Maintain forced fan units (FFU), including pre-filter changeouts and air shower filter changeouts
Maintain cleanroom temperature and humidity
Provide emergency support and/or repairs to cleanroom facilities, including electrical, plumbing, exhaust, or other systems
Ability to properly perform drilling, sanding, or other particle generating activities inside the cleanroom
4. Design and create AutoCAD drawings of:
Layouts for new equipment, including electrical services and other facilities
Compressed gas line routing
Other drawings and schematics as requested
5. Skills related to equipment relocations and/or installations
Work with teammates to plan locations for main tool plus support equipment to include vacuum pumps, chillers/heaters, UPS units, maintenance access spaces, etc.
Coordinate with vendor and teammates to meet site prep requirements as defined by the vendors site preparation document
Basic understanding of codes and regulations
Work with UTA groups including EH&S and Facilities Management to provide facilities for equipment including electrical, plumbing, exhaust
Coordinate with professional moving companies for equipment moves as needed
6. Skills related to facilities work
Knowledge of safety requirements including ladder work, fall safety, eye protection, etc.
Basic first aid skills
Reasonable ability to foresee outcomes of proposed changes (especially to existing layouts, structures, or methodology) and plan accordingly
Time management skills
Basic facilities skills (drywall wall repairs, painting, patching, plumbing, drilling and anchoring, etc.) Ability to obtain University driving permissions and operate large vehicles
Understanding of basic uses and capabilities of steel struts and associated materials including plates, joints, anchors, etc.
Basic ability to work with metals, including piping, steel plates, etc.
Advanced skills in safely working with power tools including table saws, hammer drills, drill presses, other tools
Basic understanding of air compressors and compressed air lines and fittings
Ability to qualify for and use full-face respirator l. Able to safely use heavy-lift equipment, including jacks, hoists, etc.
7. Skills related to compressed gas lines
Ability to design routes for gas lines to:
i. Avoid interference with existing structures, lines, or equipment ii. Provide for cylinder bracket installation and securing iii. Provide for floor/wall penetrations iv. Minimize joints through proper use of fittings, valves, etc.
Knowledge of stainless-steel gas line types, uses, and properties including fittings, regulators, valves, etc.
Ability to construct and install stainless steel lines up to ½
