The Rockefeller University seeks a Plumber (Salary Range: $60K-$75K) to join Plant Operations Office. Under the supervision of the Foreman and officials responsible for the coordination and accomplishment of plant maintenance and operations work, the Plumber will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing used for water distribution and wastewater disposal in residential, commercial and industrial buildings. Must work safely and keep work area clean, maintaining and reviewing building plans and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing and materials. Must ensure all installations, repairs, and maintenance meet code requirements, testing pipe systems and fixtures. Must be willing to cross-trade, and maintain a valid driver's license with current insurance. #INDMISC21
High School diploma or equivalent required. Journeyman Certification in Plumbing and 10 years of related experience necessary. Must have proficient knowledge in water distribution and wastewater disposal, and hoisting and rigging skills. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills necessary. Strong computer skills, presentation, and written and verbal skills required. The ability to mentor fellow employees to enhance their skill sets necessary. May be required to operate power tools. Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
