Under the direction of the Operations Manager the Operations Assistant serves as the first line of contact for visitors and students to the Charlotte Campus. The candidate will have a broad knowledge base of the campus operations, courses and programs available through the campus and will serve as the face of the campus greeting enrolled and prospective students as well as corporate partners, alumni and visitors of the campus and administrative offices.
The Campus Operations Assistant will assist to ensure the daily operations and support all facility operations: room scheduling and events management. The candidate will assist to ensure the campus operations and services supports the needs of all faculty, staff and students. Perform additional duties and assist in special projects as needed and requested.
This position requires sound judgment and ability to initiate work on behalf of the campus and leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree required along with 2 years of professional office experience, preferably in higher education. The successful candidate will have outstanding customer service and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a highly flexible and innovative environment with an expanding role and shifting responsibilities. Strong organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written, are critical to this role. Must be extremely detail-oriented and able to prioritize work to meet campus and client expectations. Must have ability to make sound decisions and judgments to best serve clients' needs and meet campus goals. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite necessary, as well as familiarity with using audio/video equipment and other technology.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

Campus Operations Support Serve as the face of the campus covering the 8th floor reception desk, greeting visitors, providing information and referrals, answering telephones, ascertaining the nature of calls, take accurate messages, confirm appointments, and route calls in a professional manner. Providing assistants with the campus operations, room scheduling for classes and events, services and technology. Manage mail services, deliveries, and property access.
Event Assistant Serve as campus event assistant, serving the needs of internal and external constituents. Coordinate use of all rooms, elevator access, catering, janitorial services, security, HVAC, and other services and liaising with technology support as needed. Remain accessible throughout the event for emergencies, questions, concerns, information, and assistance that pertains to event/program. Serve as host at registration table. Sets up rooms by moving furniture for events and meetings and interacts with catering or other vendors. Maintain professional appearance of the campus.
Classroom & Technology Assistant Serve as technology assistant and supplementary campus support for faculty and staff. Perform basic troubleshooting in classroom and conference room spaces.
