Position Summary:
This recruitment is for Temporary Building Maintenance Workers through UCI's internal temporary service. UC Irvine's Temporary Employment Services (TES) is continuously seeking applicants to assist in filling the temporary needs of the UC Irvine Campus in Irvine, CA
DUTIES FOR TEMPORARY BUILDING MAINTENANCE WORKER INCLUDE:
Perform a variety of semi-skilled and unskilled tasks in the maintenance, alteration and repair of buildings and related facilities and equipment
Perform other related duties as required. May, work independently, as a part of a regular maintenance crew, or as assistants to skilled tradesmen and may drive in the course of duties.

Compensation Range:
Minimum $19.81 Mid-Point $21.86 Maximum $26.15
Required:
Current Driver's License
Experience performing building maintenance
Experience using repair tools
Knowledge and general ability to paint, repair electrical outlets, patch walls, Plumbing, repair tile/carpet, among other work-related duties
Preferred:
Knowledge of the UC Irvine Campus
Background in working in an institutional setting
Certificate of completion from a trade school or apprenticeship
TEMPORARY EMPLOYMENT:
This is a temporary employment recruitment reporting to the UCI Temporary Employment Services (TES) Department.
Interviewing and hiring is based on internal hiring needs and how well the candidate's experience matches the assignment requirements.
Certain temporary assignments may require clearance of a health physical or require a valid California Driver's License for driving university vehicles.
