The Facilities Management Planning & Construction group supports the administration, faculty, staff and students in the quality planning and development of facilities projects that support our mission. Our talented staff work in various crafts including, cleaning (night and day custodial, housekeeping), building trades (painting, carpentry, locksmith, electrical, HVAC, plumbing), as well as, on the grounds, and in the stockroom. Our office handles over 18,000 telephone calls per year and we respond to over 12,000 service requests. We are responsible for maintaining 300 acres and more than 2,000,000 square feet of property in 100+ buildings.
Core Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities will include: Manage facilities AutoCAD infrastructure map; create and update GIS database features; scanning and managing the flat files; work with outside departments creating and maintaining their mapping projects; archive, maintain the Colleges space database and maps; create and maintain department website; and help maintain computer work stations and equipment. In all ways contributing to the overall success and effectiveness of the Facilities Management Administrative Team.
•Candidates must possess excellent communication skills; be proficient using Microsoft Word, Excel and Access; •Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines •Ability to work in a fast-paced and team oriented environment. •Candidates must have good judgment, tact and discretion. •Candidates are expected to have initiative as well as problem solving skills. •Prior database experience and working in a college environment or in the construction/architectural fields is desired, but is not required. •Experience 2 years working in a CAD or GIS position required and experience with AutoCAD and/or ArcGIS preferred. •Willingness to perform other duties as assigned.
